Anugerah ("we", "us", "our") is a home support coordination service based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, registered under the name Anugerah. We are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA 2010).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and what rights you have in relation to it. It applies to all personal data collected through our website, contact forms and service delivery process.

  • Household and service-related information: address, details about the older adult receiving support, household preferences and routines (provided voluntarily as part of service setup)
  • Communication records: emails and messages exchanged with our team
  • Website usage data: browser type, pages visited, time spent, via cookies and analytics tools (see Section 6)

How data is collected: Through our contact form, direct email or phone communication, and during the service setup conversation. We do not collect data from third-party data brokers.

Legal basis: Processing is based on your consent (when you submit a form or agree to service terms), the performance of a contract (when a service arrangement is in place), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our services.

Retention: Contact enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months from the date of last contact. Active service records are retained for the duration of the arrangement plus 24 months. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To respond to enquiries and provide the services you have requested
  • To coordinate service arrangements and communicate with families throughout
  • To share relevant details with companions or suppliers directly involved in your service (limited to what is necessary)
  • To improve the quality and organisation of our services based on feedback
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations under Malaysian law

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not use personal data for direct marketing without your explicit consent.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These include:

  • Access to client records restricted to staff directly involved in coordination
  • Regular review of who has access to stored information
  • In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected individuals promptly and in accordance with PDPA 2010 requirements

5. Third-Party Sharing

We may share limited personal data with the following categories of third parties, only as necessary to provide the agreed service:

  • Companion visit coordinators (name and household address as required to facilitate visits)
  • Grocery delivery services (delivery address and relevant preferences, where applicable)
  • Analytics providers (anonymised website usage data — see Section 6)

We do not share personal data with advertising networks or unrelated third parties.

6. Cookies

Our services are intended for adults (18 years and over) arranging support for older family members. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
